Arkadiusz Liszewski wins Mystery Bounty at partypoker Grand Prix Bratislava

[

The partypoker Grand Prix joined forces with the Bratislava Poker Festival sponsored by the Irish Poker Tour for six action-packed days of poker tournaments and cash games at one of Europe’s largest casinos at Card Casino Bratislava from July 18-23.

Arkadiusz Liszewski lifted the coveted trophy on Thursday after defeating Romania’s Paul Covaciu heads-up to win the €400 Mystery Bounty for €13,200. That’s not all as he also eliminated six players to collect €4,300 in bounties to bring his total haul to €17,500.

Meanwhile, Covaciu not only scooped the €8,250 runner-up prize, but also scooped one of the top two €5,000 mystery prizes, making it a day to remember for him too despite dropping one player short of the trophy.

Nikolaos Zacharakis also had something to celebrate, winning the other mystery top prize of €5,000 and finishing the event on the podium with a third place finish for €5,500.

The event itself was a huge success with 272 entrants creating a €95,472 prize pool that exceeded the €50,000 guaranteed with tons of excitement each time a mystery envelope was drawn.

Meanwhile, the partypoker Grand Prix €550 Main Event is on track to meet its high guarantee of €500,000 with 488 entries during the first three opening flights. We’re expecting even bigger crowds on Friday and Saturday for the final three opening flights with many players arriving over the weekend to join partypoker’s 65 qualifiers in the hunt for the trophy and what promises to be a huge first prize.

Day 1b chip leader Stanislav Tomov takes the lead after turning his starting stack of 40,000 into a whopping 785,000 in chips with Day 1c chip leader Kristian Saethre (675,000), Jasper van der Veen (600,500), Day 1a Tabriz chip leader Pedram Sarayedarzadeh (428,000) and Thomas Werdenich ( 389,000). out of the top five.

In other news, the €2,500 Omaha Euro Championship has grown to become one of the biggest Omaha tournaments ever in European poker history with 46 entries generating a tasty €107,640 prize pool to top the €100,000 guaranteed. There were only 10 players left to start the day with Irish Poker Festival founder Fintan Gavin among the players to watch.

Meanwhile, host of nosebleed €50/€50/€100 pot-limit Omaha live streaming cash game bonanza Patrik “TheHammerCrusher” Jaros max registered late to this event and has a huge stack to start the day. You can see who will win the €40,000 grand prize live on partypokertv twitch channel with partypoker commentator Jason Glatzer joined throughout the day by a variety of guests including PLO crusher George Sandford.
