IGT signs sports betting deal in New Mexico

International Game Technology announced that it has expanded its sports betting footprint to New Mexico through a multi-year deal with the Santa Ana Pueblo Tribe.
The company’s IGT extension The PlaySports platform, self-service betting kiosks and business advisory services replaced a competitor’s technology and services and now power sports betting at the Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel.

The Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is a Native American casino in the Pueblo of Santa Ana in Bernalillo, New Mexico. The casino is located approximately 10 miles north of Albuquerque. It has 109,000 square feet of gaming space for both slot machines and table games. The casino has 1,475 slot machines and 20 table games.
The property was last renovated in 2018.

The casino is one of five in the state with retail sports betting.
New Mexico is one of more than 30 states in the country with legal sports gambling in some capacity. In 2022, according to the American Gaming Association, the national handle for sports betting was over $93 billion. Sports betting revenue was $7.5 billion.
