Rhode Island Casino Opens Major Gaming Floor Expansion

Bally’s Corporation announced that Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort has officially opened 40,000 square feet of new gaming space in an expansion of its casino floor.
This expansion satisfied part of a new law enacted by the General Assembly and signed by Governor McKee in 2021.
Bally’s representatives were joined by Governor Daniel McKee, Speaker of the House K. Joseph Shekarchi, Senator Frank Ciccone, who serves as chairman of the joint committee on the state lottery, City of Lincoln Executive Philip Gould and George Nee, president, AFL–THAT ISat Bally’s Lincoln on April 25 for a grand opening ceremony.
“We are delighted to celebrate [the] grand opening along with so many of our valued partners, including Governor McKee, House and Senate leadership, our union workforce and our regulators, the Division of the Lottery and Department of Business Regulation,” said Craig Eaton , head of operations for Bally in Rhode Island.
The expanded game plan, combined with other property improvements, represents a $100 million investment.
The new gaming area features 355 slot machines, 57 table games, 27 stadium-style games and a high-limit gaming area.
“This expansion marks another major milestone not only for Bally’s Lincoln, but also for Rhode Island itself,” Governor McKee said. “We are grateful to Bally’s for its ongoing partnership that contributes to our workforce, the economy and the state as a whole. I also want to congratulate Bally on the successful completion of this critical expansion and continued investment in Rhode Island’s future.”
About 1,000 union members work at the casino. They are part of approximately 10,500 employees nationwide for Bally’s.
Bally’s currently owns and operates 15 casinos in 10 states, a racetrack in Colorado, and has access to online sports betting licenses in 18 states. It also owns Bally’s Interactive International, formerly the Gamesys Group, an online casino gambling company.
The company’s land-based casino operations include approximately 15,000 slot machines, 600 table games and 5,300 hotel rooms.
